As soon as I got engaged last year, the first vendor that I wanted to find was our wedding photographer. I knew it was going to be a difficult task, given that I myself am a photographer and designer, so visuals were at the absolute top of my list. When we found Nicole we couldn't believe how easy she was to work with. We scheduled our engagement photo session in Santa Barbara one cloudy day and got to know her and her ultra helpful husband Scott. My now husband does not like to be in photographs. In fact, after a decade of being together, the engagement shoot was our first formal portrait session that we had ever taken. He was nervous, and so was I - but Nicole made us feel completely at ease. She was great at making us feel loose and worked with us to make sure we felt comfortable. Our photos came out amazing, and everyone we showed them to agreed! Months later, she took the time to speak with me before the wedding to go over every aspect that was important for me to capture. She was incredibly patient with me, since like I said, I am quite detail oriented! All throughout the process I always felt that she was part of "my team" and that I could count on her for whatever was needed. On the actual wedding day I was nervous of course but she worked wonders to capture the best possible photos in every location. From the bride getting ready shots, to the first look photos, to our sunset photos - she got it all! And the photos she took were spectacular! She even continued to photograph when our venue apparently forgot to prepare the vendor's dinner! Some things on the wedding day, you can't plan for, and she was so easy going despite that setback. Through hunger and fatigue she was still there capturing our day, which is more than we would have ever asked for! We're so grateful that we found Nicole and know that every couple who works with her will be over the moon with her results!! Her professionalism will astound you, as even her business cards and wedding media delivery are breathtaking!!

Nicole Wasko is very professional. She is very good with family photos and i have a 2 in a half year old and she got so many fantastic shots of me and him even with him running all over and being a boy! lol i would definetly recomend her to anyone looking for some good family photos to send to family or to put online!!

I regularly attend photography trade shows and conferences to stay up to date with the latest technology and to see how the industry is evolving.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband and I got engaged and moved to Santa Barbara in 2012 where he was offered a job opportunity. It was an easy decision to give up my career in order to be with the man of my dreams. I traded my microscope for my camera and became a successful Santa Barbara wedding photographer. Ever since changing career paths I've never looked back. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to do what I love everyday, and I encourage others to follow their dreams even if it doesn't seem possible at the moment. You never know until you try!
