I value a loving community and untraditional ways of living life. Photography has been a part of my life for the past ten years, and I have had a few different relationships with this passion. I met this career as a contracted photographer in Pennsylvania, with a focus on female bodies and empowering those who were seeking. I then moved into freelance modeling, where I traveled nomadically for most of my 20s. Now, I call Portland, OR my home, where I am raising a beautiful daughter and dove back into my roots of photography. I truly enjoy spending time with my clients and am so honored for everyone who has allowed me into their space to capture a part of their life. I always strive to bring empathy and calmness so you can walk away from our shoot feeling confident in the time we spent together. I love taking on and photographing adventures and hikes. I have a variety of locations I can provide. I also shpot film photography and love to incorporate that into my sessions. ***

Absolutely the best photographer I have EVER worked with. I’ve been disappointed many times with my photos , and she was super flexible with allowing me to show her different shots I wanted her to take and allowing me to fix my sisters dress lol!! I am so happy she allowed me to pick out my favorites as this photoshoot was for an important event. Not to mention the quality of the photos unedited are ASTOUNDING. I will be recommending her to all my family and friends. Book with her if you’re looking for bday shots, quinceañera shots, or even self portraits , I’m truly so happy with the photos , my sister looks beautiful in them. I can’t wait for the final results to use for the event😊🫶!!!

Shawna is amazing! We were married at the Columbia River gorge and were not sure about the best photo spots at the waterfall we chose. She was early and was able to find the best photo opportunities possible. I appreciated how easy she was to talk to and she was calm throughout our photo shoot and offered great ideas. Our elopement was a short ceremony with a 30 minute photo shoot and everything went so smoothly. We appreciate her commitment and I'm so grateful she was able to capture our special day!

My pricing is flexible and am open to work with a budget!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting with a new customer, I really want to connect with them in person before our session to go over intention and goals! If we are unable to meet I person, a phone chat or zoom would be great!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working on and off as a photographer for eight years. I started in Pennsylvania working for a woman's magazine as their photographer and event coordinator. I then moved into modeling and made that my career for nine years. I have a wealth of knowledge for posing and great attention to detail. Over the last year, I have jumped back into photography as my full time passion. I work now as an independent photographer and product photographer for Malka Diamonds in NW Portland.
