MaryXMass is a clever designer and quality seamstress! I wanted a dress somehow turned into a tunic and she suggested ways to do it that I hadn’t considered. The final piece was fabulous! I wore it to an eclectic wedding and it was perfect! 100% recommend!!

MaryChris was wonderful! I needed 2 pairs of pants altered in a short time. One pair were chiffon lined for a wedding and another were knit type fabric for the reception. She came to me and measured. Took them with her and 4 days later they were ready. She brought them back to me.
I wish I had before pictures of the pants before they were very long and now they’re perfect. She is responsive and answers all questions quickly and knowledgeably. She will be my go to for anything sewing or hemming. I will be happily forwarding her info to all my friends.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Roughly I charge $25 an hour, but it is always contingent on job and what is required. Often I need to see what is wanted from client before giving a quote.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years of theatre costuming including design, fitting, construction. Also stage drapery and home decor. Theatres include Portland Opera, Storefront, Artists Repertory and several high schools.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Have been sewing since my early teens. Have degree in Textile Design and Weaving.
