About

Hi my name is Adam Easley, I teach guitar, violin, and mandolin. Whatever your musical preference I will help you play the type of music you love. My teaching style will make lessons and practicing fun. I will give you all the tools necessary to become a complete musician. Lessons with me are much more than learning to memorize a sequence of notes, instead I focus on musicality and creativity. I have played music my whole life, and taught for over 25 years. I enjoy all styles of music. I have performed all over and studied music at UOP conservatory and SF State Jazz Studies department. Adam made it a comfortable and fun environment for my teen to begin learning guitar. He was very easy going and knowledgable and worked well to adapt any lessons to current struggles as well as incorporating music theory at a practical pace that didn't take away from hands on learning.

Adam is fantastic with both my 8 year old (Violin) and 12 year old (Guitar). He is masterful in his instrument knowledge, however most important is how he breaks the steps down in a way my kids learn quickly. His kindness & patience comes through - even over Skype lessons! There are a lot of ways to learn music from formal studies to folk music taught by ear. If you have a style in mind, let the teacher know so they can structure the lessons to fit your goals. Try to find a teacher who has expertise in the style you want to learn. My specialties are Rock and blues, folk and Irish music, and jazz. I also teach classical violin with some fiddlin' around!
