Introduction: This time of year I get many inquiries about commissions, especially outdoor murals, to help save both our time please look over these points below: -My quotes can range from $25.00 to $85.00 per square foot for murals. This depends on the intricacy of design, if I need to create the concept for you, and/or location of project. -Canvas commissions are based on size, medium (oil, acrylic, etc.), subject matter (landscape vs portrait), and time to complete. This is a very wide range, so I do suggest reviewing my gallery to see if my styles and skills suit your needs. -Graphic design is $49.00 per hour, 5 hour deposit requested to get on schedule, then weekly billing for hours worked on project. -I request a 30% deposit to get your project on my calendar, the remaining 70% must be processed at the beginning of final day of project for it to be completed. -I offer discount to those who book within 7 days of receiving a quote. -I offer discount to those who have flexible deadlines. My calendar fills quickly and I am usually booked 4-8 weeks in advance, if there are cancellations or openings due to non payment, I am happy to apply this discount to your project. -I offer discount to youth/educational organizations, along with apprenticeship applications to youth (ages 10-17) of that organization. Depending on the size and/or nature of the organization I offer 1-4 apprenticeships that the organization chooses the recipients of the spots. I have found earning a spot to learn art in a professional setting helps motivate fundraisers and I am happy to help youth appreciate and grow their artistic interests. -Yes, more than one discount can apply to same project. If these general terms are acceptable to you please request a quote, I am happy and excited to share my creativity with you. If not, I wish you success on your creative adventure and you find the artist that best fits your needs. Thanks for stopping by and keep it colorful!

I cannot speak highly enough of Hope and the work she did for me. Not only was Hope incredibly responsive and fair in pricing, but she was beyond professional, timely, thoughtful, and extremely talented. I asked hope to create a mural that incorporated the two coat racks hanging on a wall. After I spoke with her and gave her an idea of what I needed, she went ABOVE and BEYOND with sketches, getting me scheduled within a week, brought her own creativity, and created a stunning mural with exactly what we expected. Hope provided me step by step instructions of what she was going to do and the time it would take. Further, she created a very cool time lapse video of what she made and made a personal artistic note to take with us of the experience. Overall, I could not be more impressed and thankful for Hope and I HIGHLY recommend her for any project.

Alyssa is an amazing artist with an incredible skill set. She listens closely and always exceeds expectations. I can’t think of an art project she wouldn’t be well suited for, from illustrating books, to human body diagrams, one-of-a-kind gifts, to teaching foundational art skills to people of all ages. She is fun, vibrant, easy going, and hard working. She will always be my first stop for art.

This artist created a beautiful portrait of my granddaughter with Down Syndrome. I am overwhelmed with the result. With creative connection to her talent, she was able to capture personality and emotion that can truly be felt. A simple, yet beautifully rendered piece of art.

Alyssa makes art exciting and accessible. Her enthusiasm, skill, and relatable teaching style make it easy to grasp fine art concepts that otherwise felt complicated and overwhelming. She encourages creativity while teaching art skills & theory in a fun way. I not only learned how to create my own art, but how to appreciate and enjoy art more in my day-to-day life. I would recommend students of any age or experience level to give it a try!

We commissioned Alyssa to create a sign for my son's wedding. After sharing ideas on what we wanted, she created a beautiful sign by burning and painting the wood. The sign was perfect for the shy little sister of the bride to carry down the isle. The sign was absolutely perfect!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing reflects both my experience, quality of work, professionalism, and time dedication required. Most importantly, it includes time spent connecting with you and learning the story behind your piece and the emotions that it ought to evoke. I make it my top priority to bring to life your exact vision and use my skills and talents to create a piece that you will cherish for a lifetime.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I begin with a 20 min phone or video consultation so that I can get to know my customers: Why they want this image to be created; Who they are preparing it for; What is the desired style, size, and timeline. After this initial consultation, there is a 72 hour approval period, during which time I determine if your piece is within my scope of ability and schedule. Out of respect for my time and your investment, I do not accept commissions in which I am not fully confident of being able to achieve a client's vision. I want you to love your piece, not like it. My portfolio and reputation reflect this commitment to excellence.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was granted an art scholarship out of high school, have received local and congressional achievement awards in visual arts, and my work has been featured in a museum.
