FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Typically, we do most of our work with small businesses who don't have the budget for a dedicated IT person. We'll set up printers or new work stations, troubleshoot network issues, and replace hardware for these customers. We also offer consulting services to these customers in the event that they want to upgrade their existing IT infrastructure. We do work with residential customers as well. We preform a lot of the same services for residential customers but we do ask that these customers try to drop off their equipment at our shop.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Call around a get a sense for how each store will manage your expectations. A company might not be looking at your hard drive if you only asked for a virus scan and, this does happen, sometimes a customer doesn't know the difference between those two things. We want our customers to be clear on exactly what we're going to do for them before we start a job. You'll also want to ask them if they'll take the time to explain the work they did to you. Computers can be confusing to a lot of people and it's easy for technicians to hide behind "geek speak." It also doesn't take that long to explain something like SMART Data in layman's terms. This is your computer and you have a right to know exactly what the technician did to it.
