Rogue Ecology focuses more on the quality side of projects, and doing things a bit different than basic landscape design. Are you interested in going more native? Drought tolerant? Interested in helping the environment by providing habitat and food for wildlife and pollinators? We provide native plant/drought tolerant designs, pollinator habitat enhancements, habitat restoration, invasive weed management, plant installation
and management, and we align our work with getting folks backyard habitat certified. We also offer grass alternatives, such as sheet mulching to eliminate yards if desired. All our equipment is 100% battery powered to help reduce emissions into the environment and reduce noise pollution. Lastly, let us come out and take a look at your property to help you transform it to something you absolutely love!

Rogue Ecology did a great job on an initial property cleanup and planning for some longer term maintenance and landscaping updates. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable Dan was regarding the invasive plants we have in different areas. The crew was quick and careful, cleanup was done fast with no damage to other plants despite the complex landscaping and rather severe weed levels. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with Rogue Ecology to get the yard transitioned over to more native and drought tolerant plants.

Dan and the Rogue Ecology team did a great job. They worked amazingly quickly, reclaiming perennials and shrubs from blackberries and other invaders. Our property looks great, and we are looking forward to having the crew complete our rock wall as their next project.

I had a fantastic experience working with Rogue Ecology! Dan, the owner, came out for a thorough walk-through of our new property in Southwest Portland and was incredibly knowledgeable—especially when it comes to eco-friendly practices and the Backyard Habitat Certification Program, which is important to us.
Within a week of the walk-through, Dan and his team returned to remove several diseased apple trees and help with a much-needed yard clean-up. They were efficient, professional, and communicative throughout the process. Dan followed up quickly and made sure everything was done with care and attention to detail.
I’m so glad to have found a landscaping partner who shares our values around sustainability and habitat-friendly design. I’m already looking forward to working with Rogue Ecology on future projects like tree pruning and irrigation installation. It’s wonderful to have a team I trust to help manage and improve our yard over time.
Highly recommend Rogue Ecology to anyone looking for thoughtful, eco-conscious landscaping support!
