I offer a holistic spiritual approach to healing the body, mind and emotions. I have studied mind-body approaches to healing since 1997, and have many tools in my tool bag that will provide relief and healing for your discomfort or disease. Changes are quick and dramatic. I most love watching clients begin to embrace their worthiness. Many people have been ill for so long, they don't believe they are worthy to be well. Once self-love and worthiness are embraced, healing is very rapid.

In November 2013, I suffered severe sudden hearing loss in my left ear. I had no pain, only loud ringing in the ear. Following a specialist's treatment plan--a steroid that may or may not have any effect, I was told--I felt the need to seek out a qualified Reiki healer as well. A first-time user of Thumbtack, I quickly found some professionals that I thought could help. I sent messages and received prompt responses. After careful consideration and a phone conversation, I chose Jeanette Chardon. The words "16 years experience in working with people who have serious or chronic illness--conditions often considered unsolvable" stood out because that's exactly what I was dealing with: a medical mystery. At our first session, Jeanette asked questions and listened to me, then got right to work. I relaxed body and mind. She started with a sage smudge and conducted a series of what I'd describe as universal prayers. I received heartfelt, skilled, intuitively focused Reiki. She played various noise-making instruments and an iPod recording. She made vocal intonations. She even sang at times (Jeanette has an amazing voice). All of Jeanette's creative methods of treatment were felt deeply on mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. From the get-go, Jeanette gave me to understand the importance and vitality of positive thinking. She communicated this in ways that had me smiling and laughing out loud at times. No more researching on the Internet about the disease! I was to focus on taking care of myself and making whatever little "shifts" I could in my ways of thinking. The homework she gave promoted meditative awareness, deep-breathing relaxation, positive affirmations and daily exercise, whatever I could manage. The first session was two hours; subsequent sessions were one hour in length. I soon experienced a breakthrough and my hearing began improving. I continued doing whatever I could to take care of myself. Both the audiologist and the Ear Nose Throat doctor were astounded by my recovery after two months, citing that most who suffer what I did only recover partial hearing, if any at all. The ENT used the word "miracle." Without a doubt, I know that Jeanette helped me heal during this very difficult time. I will continue working on myself as a client of Jeanette Chardon. She is Outstanding!

Whatever your pain/problem/issue, Jeanette is a true practitioner that can help balance you, and then teach you to help yourself. I went to Jeanette ready to leave the world behind if I couldn't get something to change... Like right then! And she did, she balanced me and then taught me the tools I'm using now to keep myself balanced. Before seeing her, I was truly great at hiding my core issues, that I needed my attention, from myself and from the world. Every other health professional kept saying I could handle it but no one seemed to truly know what "it" was, nor did they have the tools Jeanette does to "handle it". Nothing was handled. I bounced back and forth from being a mess... crying my way into the day, and shoving it down to engage the world only to have it pop back up whenever I was alone. There was no one I felt I could count on, no family, no friends I felt I could trust with the REAL me, and the relationship with my perceived true love was over. Occasionally, I would feel okay, if my need was being met by someone else. I came to Jeanette in a state of need, and Jeanette taught me energetically, in our first session, how to begin to give myself what I needed. Our first session was a mere 3 days ago, and already I feel like stable, healthy person, who is no longer just existing in a state of pain. Now, I still have a lot to learn & a lot of work to do, but over the last 3 days, practicing the techniques Jeanette taught me (like ALL THE TIME) I've created hope in myself. A solid hope that's based in me, NOT in if I'm getting what I need from other people. Jeanette can help you. I'm sure of this because she's helping me & it seemed no one else could. She senses/sees what you need, and then gives you the tools to address it and begin to fix it even when you're not in session with her. Her goal is to get you to a place within yourself where YOU count on YOU to get yourself stable and fill your need (whatever it is) in a healthy and sustainable way. Honestly, at first when she told me about giving myself what I need, my heart felt ripped that I would have to count on myself (oh god) and not the sweet knight in shining armor I dreamt about, but it was because I didn't think I was capable of giving it to myself. But I can, I am, and the comfort in knowing I am never without it, because it's IN ME, is incredible. So, thank you Jeanette : )

I cannot adequately put into words what it has meant to have Jeannette in my life. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My introductory rate is $45 for a session. The first session tends to be up to 2 hours in length. I have a sliding fee scale for subsequent appointments - $50 to $85, in person, via Skype, via phone. I charge $125 to make a house call.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I would encourage you to take advantage of the introductory session, discounted to $45.00. You don't have anything to lose and you will gain a feeling of peace and well-being. There is no obligation to continue. If you choose to have a subsequent appointment, I have a sliding-scale - $50 to $85.00.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Social Work. I studied medical social work and worked in an oncology department because I had had cancer. I worked as a cancer counselor for 14 years, after which I spent 6 years in hospice. I had support groups focused on mind/body modalities of support - I introduced people to techniques and practices that they could DO themselves - practices that the clients were able to do themselves. Part of this exploration and education was due to my need to heal, myself as I was diagnosed with cancer in 1993 and again in 2003. In 2008 I discovered Reiki and became initiated into Reiki in 2009. I have studied with shamans and have developed a unique blend of shamanic healing and Reiki. I have found Reiki to be a very powerful and easy to access energy to aid self-healing. Prior to 2009 I was a practitioner of another type of energy healing, Biofield Therapy. I also spent 9 years in a semi-monastic spiritual community and am an ordained minister.
