Introduction: Bethany Tate has been a professional makeup artist since 2006. She has worked for MAC Cosmetics, Lancome, Dior, and Nordstrom in the past and is now a freelance makeup artist.
She is the founder and lead makeup artist for size acceptance nonprofit organization, Pudge PDX and is the lead makeup artist for House Ro Squared. Since 2014, Bethany has done makeup work for Chubby Cartwheels, Chinchar/Maloney Fine Jewelry, Curvy Chic Consignment among others, and her work has been published twice in Skorch Magazine this year.
She is very experienced at doing makeup for photo shoots, fashion shows, bridal parties, films, theater, and special occasions. She lives in SE Portland but is happy to travel.

I have worked with Bethany on multiple occasions. She not only is skilled in a wide variety of looks (we've done everything from natural and subdued to edgy, wild and bold) but is extremely professional. She is a pleasure to work with! I've witnessed her complete beautiful looks on all ethnicities and skin types. She is always positive and ready for touch ups to keep you looking perfect! I highly recommend her.

Bethany did my makeup for a work holiday party I attended in December. She was super friendly and had a HUGE collection of make up with some of the best brands and color selection I have ever seen! She was very good at color matching and blending perfectly. My makeup came out amazing and I will definitely be using her as my MUA again!

I've worked with Bethany on dozens of projects. A few short simple, single person shoots with natural makeup and many multi-model, full day shoots with full editorial style makeup.
She has a TON of experience working with all skin types and colors which makes her an invaluable part of a top-notch MUAH team. I also deeply appreciate that Bethany prides herself in being reliable and dependable.
I think it's also important to note that her experience includes working with all body types, genders, sexualities, nationalities and skin colors. It's important because you want to feel safe and comfortable while working so closely with someone.

Bethany has done my makeup for two very different photoshoots. Both times were excellent. She is extremely detail oriented and uses a combination of strong technique and her artist's eye to accomplish the task at hand. While the first shoot we did together was a sort of classic pin-up inspired deal (which was great), the second one required some more challenging glamorous corpse makeup. She essentially gave me a BEAUTIFUL almost grayscale full face that looked great in person and shot wonderfully. I cannot recommend her enough!!
