I contacted Hood the same day I need help. It just so happened they had an opening and were able to squeeze me in. They started by saying they could arrive between 12-1 and actually wound up coming at 11:30 which was great for us.
We had them haul in 4,000 lbs of kennel panels and up to our second floor. They were quick, careful and polite. Since there were approximately 125 individual pieces I had expected it to take around 3 1/2 hours, they did it in 2 1/2.
I was thoroughly pleased with the service I received. They embrace one of my favorite sayings for services: “under commit and over deliver.” I would definitely hire them in the future.

Wow, I can't believe how quickly and efficiently they were able to pack & unpack our place!! We have a 2 bedroom on the third floor with some heavy stuff including a California king and a full deep freezer... they didn't lose face, kept to their word & were able to move everything carefully and in a timely manner. Really impressed, I wish I could leave a higher review. Thank you guys for making our moving day a breeze, I will definitely be referring people!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1.) Our hourly price covers 2 movers. They will always bring a hand truck, floor dolly and lifting straps.
2.) We can also provide tools for assembling furniture and furniture padding upon request.
3.) We can provide additional packing and moving materials for a fee (fee depending on the materials requested)
4.) We do not provide a truck with this price. Let us know if you need help organizing a truck rental.
5.) We charge a travel fee for certain jobs if they’re over 10 miles away. We are based out of portland. This would be discussed and agreed upon prior to scheduling the job.
6.) We charge a $20 fee per flight of stairs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1.) Agree upon a date and time for the move.
2.) Setup a phone call to go over all of the details of the move. This can also be done via text or messaging on the Thumbtack app.
3.) Making a confirmation call the day before the move.
