- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After working for a time in student transportation, I decided it was time to do something different. I really enjoy driving busses and the thought of transporting people safely from one place to the next really hit a good nerve. One day, I saw an ad for a party bus driver. It really called out to me and I applied for the position. My cover letter simply said, "Oh! Pick me! Pick me!" Next thing I knew, I was meeting the owner and filling out paperwork. Honestly, I love this job and what it's about!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do lots of pub crawls or barhopping trips. Portland is full of nightclubs, micro-breweries, wine tasting rooms and comedy clubs. We do it all!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Because our service is providing sober transportation while our clients party, the advice I offer all of our customers and potential customers is to figure out how much it would cost if they were caught drinking and driving. We encourage EVERYONE to NOT drive while under the influence of intoxicants. That is why we are here. That being said, we encourage our clients to have sober transportation to take them home after their time with us is finished or at least allow us to call a taxi for them. There is always an alternative to drinking and driving.
