Emily is an excellent trainer. She's always well-prepared with a targeted personal plan which is always different and challenging. Will work with clients to address specific issues and concerns.Jun 14, 2019
Emily was my first ever personal trainer and I could not have been happier with my experience. She listened to what my goals and needs were and tailored a specific program that worked for me. Every few months we would asses progress and adjust the program accordingly. She was professional and fun to work with. I highly recommend.Jul 1, 2019
Emily is a fantastic personal trainer. When I first met Emily, I was completely out of shape and hadn't worked out in a while. I needed a reboot and she gave me that and so much more. Emily worked with where I was at with my body both in terms of functionality and my strength and we progressed from there. I saw immediate results in working with Emily. Emily also encouraged me to try new things, such as spinning, which I would've never done in my life. Emily is very methodical and thoughtfully planned out workout sessions. I highly recommend Emily's work.Jun 23, 2019
No personal trainer that I have worked with has had the combination of expertise, caring, and personality that Emily has. Her workouts are imaginative AND extremely effective, and she motivates you without being fake. Could not recommend her more highly.Jun 14, 2019

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I begin with a complimentary phone consultation in which the following are discussed in detail: health and fitness goals, previous exercise experience and current routine, current nutrition regimen, pertinent medical history, and scheduling. If the potential client determines that they’d like to try a session with me, I offer the session for 50% off my base rate. Before the session begins, I conduct a movement assessment to determine any movement compensations or areas of weakness that need to be addressed prior to the workout to ensure a safe and effective session. After the first workout I ask for feedback from the client and lay out a succinct long-term plan of action to meet the client’s goals. At that point, if the client would like to move forward, we discuss scheduling and next steps.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?NASM - CPT (certified personal trainer), NASM - PES (performance enhancement specialist), NASM - CES (corrective exercise specialist), Animal Flow Instructor (dynamic bodyweight training), Russian Kettle Bells Level 2 certified, Triggerpoint Therapy certified.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I’ve been active my whole life, but as a teenager I discovered that I had PCOS - poly cystic ovarian syndrome. This hormone imbalance made it particularly difficult for me to manage my nutrition and maintain a healthy weight. Through my education in different functional training modalities and nutrition I was able to get myself in shape and maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. I’m now passionate about helping others do the same!
