We have been using JMPDX services for our Portland area triplex since 2011. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of service we've received. JMPDX has sourced us with excellent tenants, as well as significantly increased our rental income for our units. If there is a maintenance issue with our property, James is on top of it right away, taking care of every detail. I had a unit I needed to get rented and had no idea what was involved. James was very helpful in explaining the work needed to get it rented. He gave me a realistic rent estimate and a timeline of activities. He was able to get more rent than planned and everything was done right on time.

James Paulson saved my life! I was so unprepared to move east and rent my beloved house. By chance, or fate, James came to pick up a bookcase for his mother from my yard sale, and ended up by taking over the maintenance and care of my house in my absence. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not charge a monthly service fee. I only charge when we have to do actual work. We also can have the rent money go directly to the property owner, so you get paid faster.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the owner and see the property, so I can get an understanding of the plans and goals the owner has for the property. From there I'm able to craft a plan forward which matches the needs of the owner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree in Human Resources, as well over 20 years working in the HR field, this work is very similar to property management. In that both are based on dealing with people and their behaviors.
I'm also a general contractor. So no issues are too big for me or my team to overcome.
