- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $20 for per hour for all services except reading and writing tutoring , and college application essay assistance. For those, my rate is $15 per hour. I receive payment through PayPal. Full payment is due within 30 days of service completion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask them to contact me by phone or email to establish initial connection. If they choose to do so, I I ask the person describe exactly what help they need. I I ask what their language related fears or skills are and what they want their final product to say or look like. Then I have them send me any or sometimes all relevant documents by email. The first time through, I simply read the document. I then read it again, if I am editing and then either make changes directly to the document, or suggest changes the original writer might make themselves depending on the person's preferences. I also ghostwrite if that is their wish, but I will only write what the person tells me to say, because I don't want to change their meaning or put meaning in their document that shouldn't be there. When I ghostwrite, I will ask lots of questions , so that I do the job correctly , because, of course, any ghostwritten documents are not mine. I ask for patience from the writer as I pose all these questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor's in English and a Masters in writing. I trained as a publisher, and specialized in editing. I worked at my University's student-run press Ooligan, as a sort of practicum. I have also written, edited, designed, and self-published two books of my own, and I am working on my third, the halfway point in a series of six fantasy novels.
