Introduction: I would say that my work stands out in that I feel a great responsibility to prepare the couple for their life together. I'm not just interested in the pay, although this is a job for me :) but I take pride in the responsibility I bear to join a man and a woman together in Holy Matrimony. Although you can hire someone who got a license online and has no affiliation with any religious organization I take this seriously. I will be very candid, open and honest to ensure that you are prepared for your life together and many officiants cannot offer that level of commitment. What I like most about my job as an officiant is the pride I feel in knowing that the couples I work with are prepared for their marriage. Yes, unexpected things do occur in any relationship, and the union of two people together is unlike being boyfriend/girlfriend or even engaged. But the couples are prepared for the days ahead and are equipped to handle the many joys and surprises that come from their union.

Troy officiated our wedding on Dec 29, 2013. He was so professional, so kind, so comforting through the whole process. Whenever I had questions, he always promptly got back to me. There was a period where we were sick or there ice/snow storms when we were supposed to have our counseling sessions before the wedding, so we were unable to meet him in person. He was kind enough to make it work & we used Skype to still talk in real time, so our wedding date would stay as planned. He made us grounded. Even though the wedding day was a big deal, Troy emphasized throughout the importance of our marriage & relationship. As we stood in front of our friends & family, we were nervous as could be. But, Troy lovingly guided us through it. I can't praise him enough.

Troy did a great job at our wedding. I was very nervous while I was up there. Troy helped keep me calm and compose myself so I could give my vows. He was a very eloquent speaker. He was able to keep the vibe of the ceremony both sweet and fun. Troy made himself very available prior to the wedding. We contacted him a few times and we even had a chat over Skype when we were unable to meet up due to our busy schedule. I strongly recommend Troy to do your wedding. There are a lot of things to worry about on your wedding day. Use Troy to officiate your wedding and that is one less thing to worry about.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I read many books, articles and magazines to assist in helping couples to understand what works and what doesn't work. I then tailor goals and objectives based on the couple rather than just being general. Each union is unique based on culture, whether blending families, ages of the couple and whether or not this is someones first or second union. All of these things come into play when devising a plan of success for the bride and groom.
