FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My degree is in mass communications, emphasized in print and photojournalism (i.e., magazine/newspaper production and photography). After college, I became a proofreader, working hours on end with my head stuck in paperwork. I wanted to get back into the photography end of my degree, so I took a part-time job in a studio to supplement my income. The interaction with real, live people reeled me in and the positive reactions to my work and appreciation from clients kept me hooked.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Family portraits, children's portraits, product photography and real estate photography.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research and look through a photographer's portfolio to make sure the quality is consistent and the style matches what you're looking for.
