Eric is awesome! He helped fix my gate when nobody else would. I asked lots of companies, but only Eric said yes. He came to my house, looked at the gate, and thought there was a problem with the wires. He didn’t make me pay for checking it. Eric came back later, took the gate apart, talked to the company on the phone, and found out the gate arm was broken. I will buy a new arm, and Eric will come back to put it on. He only charged me for two hours of work. I highly recommend LANE COUNTY HANDYMAN LLC.

Salem, not simply a rare pleasure to have a conversation with, has a resourceful attitude while working within an outlined budget, and finishes a job I would take two weeks on in practically a fourth of the time.
He went above and beyond to build indoor and outdoor structures for me, bringing his creative touch to the table when appropriate, and following an outlined vision where it was asked of him.
Additionally, he helped configure integrated pieces of technology and electronics, having a background in an array of trade skills, including precision welding, electric, plumbing, and of course carpentry. He researched and found solutions to unexpected problems, and had the practical know-how to implement them. Grateful to know this handyman!

Thumbtack only allows me to choose three, but Lane County Handyman (Stone) was fantastic in all five categories.
Five stars ✨✨✨✨✨ : professionalism , work quality, value , responsiveness and punctuality. Stone worked nonstop and did an excellent job. We just moved from out of state and have a lot of new furniture to assemble and little projects in our home. Stone was on time , dug right in, quiet, worked steadily and with excellence and was a pleasure to have around. We will be booking again. Highly recommend.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average price for work is $60 per hour. When the work poses significant liability I give the customer the option of hiring another contractor, or hiring a contractor I work with regularly. This can increase the price of work to a minimum of $75 per hour. I will often ask if the customer would like an estimate or a bid. Estimates do not reflect what the job will actually cost, they are my best guess. A bid is a fixed number, and usually higher than the estimate to factor in potential pitfalls and include a profit margin
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to reach out, establish an understanding of what the job is, when the customer would like it done, and set up a time to do a walkthrough. I think it's important to establish a rapport with the customer, establish the expectation of transparency, and be on the same page moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have no formal education in the building trades. I am a journeyman welder and have several expired certificates for various structural weld positions. I have worked in the construction trades for nearly 5 years now. I am perpetually learning and use many online forums and fellow contractors as resources. If I don't know how to do something, or if I'm not confident, I call someone who knows more and may reccomend the client to them instead.
