FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
PLEASE NOTE THE PRICES QUOTED HERE ARE ESTIMATES. I have a standard hourly rate for one-off sessions but my rates really depend on the goals of each client. Maybe you seek career direction, or interview prep, or job search strategy - or maybe you only need a resume - my rates are customized to fit your unique situation. PRICING IS ADJUSTED BASED ON how complete your existing resume is, the type of package we create which may include career coaching sessions, and if you require LinkedIn profile work, etc. So, creating a custom package is usually the most cost-effective (over a la carte rates) for clients and may change the prices listed here.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin with a complimentary half-hour phone consultation. Chemistry is important so we want to make it's right. We discuss your goals to make sure I'm the right coach for you and that I can be sure I can provide significant value for your investment. If I can't, I've been known to refer to other professionals who may be better able to meet your needs. After our discussion, I'll then pull together a quote (usually with some options for you) and when you're ready we'll put a date on the calendar to get started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With over six years as a Hiring Manager for an esteemed HR Outplacement firm, I've reviewed resumes, phone screened, and live-interviewed candidates for hourly to C-level positions. I still have my hands in that world just a bit so that you're always getting relevant information about resume best practices and job searching, etc. Beyond the tactical aspects, I'm trained and certified by the World Coach Institute, one of the ICF's accredited schools, as a Certified Career Coach. Training to be a coach is one thing, but being able to connect with clients on a genuine level, with empathy and positivity, with passion and with truth, is an art form. Always working in the best interest of my clients, offering tough questions to set free the deeply-hidden answers is what I’ve been trained to do but is also a natural extension of who I am. I am a member of the National Career Development Association, received two Best of Thumbtack awards, and am featured on a personal development app called Mindsail. I received my B.A. in Communications/Journalism from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
