- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It depends on the event. And also the couple I work with. What they want ... Obviously just beer and wine is a lot less then premium open bar....
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I just recently renewed my PA Ramp certification that needs to be renewed every 2 years. It is not a requirement in some establishments but I have had it since 2002 and is a great course dealing with alcohol use, people's behavior and how to deal and know the laws of the PA liquor control board.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I bartender in college and a bit P/T when I first got married because my husband ran a Restarant. Then I decided to stay home with my 2 boys and work events on the weekends I did not want the late night bar hours. Then it just clicked... Started having people I would meet at the country club ask me if I would consider doing a party or wedding privately for them and I started taking on extra jobs. I am still working at the country club and very happy there as well
