FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It really never was a "decision" per se. We were drawn to this and once we started to research it, we never stopped moving forward with it. There is something unique in just "knowing" that all your strengths and the things you love have taken you to this point. Combining photography and creativity with just an absolute sense of bringing laughter and happiness to people is a great gift.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Our most recent event was Jessica and Sammy's Slumber Party. This is a great event for women sponsored by two radio stations in Erie, Pennsylvania. We had about two weeks after deciding to do this to prepare for it. So, turning to our artist and wearable art expert, we came up with various props that were fitting for a slumber party. We stenciled bed pillows with the name of the event, acquired bathrobes, found wigs that we then curled with outrageous pink curlers and various other slumber party effects. We love to take a theme and build around it. So you may see some of the same handmade props at each event but there will be something new thrown into the mix because each event, every person has a individual quality that deserves to stand out. By doing this, we never feel a sense of staleness.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our main advice is this: when cost is your concern, be sure that when you see another photo booth business advertise very low costs, check all the add-ons. Many of them start with a "base" package but after adding on all the other items, it can amount to far more than our total package price that includes everything. It is our belief that customers do not need the added headaches, nor should they have to short themselves of something like props, a memory book, or a professional attendant in order to bring their cost down. We believe in giving the customer a high-quality all-inclusive product for a reasonable cost and spare you the agony of having to choose what you are willing to eliminate.
