I’ve been waiting over 10 years to finally build out a dream basement. We never had the space for it until we moved into this house, so I wasn’t about to hand this project over to just anyone. I interviewed eight, yes 8, different contractors, and Alex from ASG Construction Group was the only one who actually got it.
Now that the project is done, I can tell you: if you’re planning a renovation and you don’t hire Alex, you’re doing it wrong. He is everything you hope for in a contractor but rarely find.
-What Sets ASG Apart:
The "Power of Yes": Most contractors tell you why something can’t be done. With Alex, "no" isn't in his vocabulary. As we went through finishing the 1,000+ sq. ft. space, including additions of a bedroom, full bathroom, and a full wet bar, I kept throwing new ideas at him. He didn’t just say yes; he found ways to make those ideas better and somehow made them all work within the layout.
Total Financial Clarity: No games, no "hidden fees." His pricing was clear, and the payment timeline was easy to follow. He even built in allowances for the specific items I wanted to pick out (cabinets, bar fixtures, etc.), so I knew exactly where every dollar was going.
The Ultimate Problem Solver: When you’re doing a project this big, things happen. But I never had to stress because if a hurdle arose, Alex would come to me, explain the situation, and already have the solution ready to go. His team, Ivan and Andray are absolute pros. They were on time, every single day, and their attention to detail was borderline obsessive.
He’s On Your Side: Alex treats your project like it’s his own home. He actually cut off a vendor he wasn't happy with because their communication was subpar, and he went out and found me a better one with higher quality materials at a lower price. He only uses the best vendors, who provide the best value at affordable prices. He’s 100% your advocate and will make anything you want happen.
The Finish Line (and Beyond): While they were here, they even tackled a kitchen backsplash and a powder room vanity for me. But what really blew me away was the follow-up. After the project was done, Alex was still checking in to ensure every single detail was still "A1" and that I was 100% happy. He’s answered all follow up questions and honestly I couldn’t have asked for more.
-The Verdict Alex is a rare breed: an elite-level craftsman who is also just a genuinely great guy. He took a 10-year dream and turned it into a reality that’s better than I imagined. The pictures alone tell you the story.

We hired ASG to complete an unfinished 1800 sf basement after going thru 7 other bids for companies we were happy with their reviews (above 4.7). During the estimate interview, we were impressed with Alex’s knowledge, professionalism and courtesy. We faced a time restrain as we had a scheduled family trip we wanted to finish the basement before it. Every other contractor quoted a minimum 3 months to finish the job. Alex said he can complete the work in 6-8 weeks. He added a clause in the contract to guarantee that. We knew from the get go that he could do it as he acquired the county permit within less than a week but also did not spare any time while waiting for it and got the main lumber and frame materials delivered. ASG crew was very efficient and knowledgeable as well. They worked hard and professionally. Everything was done per schedule and without delay from their end. Alex was always there if we needed him either on site or fingertips away on phone texting. Alex and his crew were very accommodating to any request to change or modify. He does not have no as an answer. He always strives to meet the customer’s needs. We cannot be more satisfied making business with ASG. Thank you, ASG, for giving us a beautiful family fun place… and above all to complete the basement 10 days before the promised deadlines. 🌺🌺🌺 Before and after!

We just worked with ASG on our bathroom renovation, and we can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, they exceeded our expectations.
Right from our first meeting, their professionalism was impressive. We had just completed an unexpected mold remediation and floor removal, so we needed things to move quickly. We got a detailed, very reasonable, estimate within 24 hours which included some of Alex’s own recommendations. He also gave accurate estimates for all the materials, so there were no surprises.
Once we gave the green light, Alex and his team jumped right into the project. Alex leads a talented team that was clean, respectful, and treated our home with care— the whole process so smooth. We really appreciated their dedication to getting things done quickly. They frequently worked late into the evening and even on weekends, which kept everything on track.
The bathroom is now our favorite room in the house. The transformation is gorgeous—we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Alex and his team are fantastic!! ASG did a top to bottom inside and outside renovation for us so we could prepare our late parents home for sale. They renovated the huge master bath into a spa like retreat, finished the unfinished basement making unlocking the potential of that space, painted the whole house inside and out, refinished the hardwood floors, painted and repaired the deck and so much more!!
