Mr. Godfrey responded quickly with an accurate estimate, arrived at my home a few days later, and quickly and effectively repaired damaged drywall. I highly recommend Godfrey Construction for drywall repair services
The service was top notch work. Before searching for the quote, I had bad experience with other roofing contractor several years ago. Hence, I had a hard time, trusting the bids I was asking for. Until I found Frank Maxwell and Robin through this website, Frank came out next day to give the quote for new bigger deck and siding..... A real big project in my book. The quote was average...not the cheapest. AND IT IS WORTH! Frank, Robin, and Jeff did the marvelous work. They built real throughly and carefully. A beautiful siding..... Can't express how great deck looks. What's more, they made sure that my deck is well regulated by the city requirement. Robin always kept me up to the date with the work underway. If you are looking for the quotes, stop here... Don't go further. Give them a call. You won't regret!
Hired to paint ceiling and walls in master suite. Reasonably priced and quality of work is excellent. We found a few holes hidden in the wall. Crew was able to patch for a nominal charge. Painter came back and did some touch up after everything dried and finished patching the drywall. Would hire again.
Work went as expected, on time completion, reasonable price for an all-inclusive package of services (including sub-contractors where needed).
Jason has been fantastic to work with. He came out to give us a bid and on the spot fixed a small issue we were having. This and the price regarding further renovations cemented our decision to use his services. So far he has uninstalled our previous contractor's sloppy work, helped us reimagine our kitchen, and has been following through in a timely and professional manner. He provides us with options at every step of the way, but based on his work, we trust him to do whatever he thinks is right because "the proof is in the pudding." We could not be happier that we found Jason to help us perfect our first home.
His estimate was thorough and timely. He was very professional and on time. I haven't decided yet on my contractor. But Leo is in the running
Repairs to parts of the living room wall were necessary due to drywall tape coming off. Also in one bathroom there was a gap between the tub and tile floor. Tom fixed all the problem areas to my satisfaction. Between the work and the initial consult he made 3 visits and was there at the time he said he would be each time. He explained what he was going to do thoroughly and finished in a timely manner. I would definitely use Tom's services again and would recommend him to others.
Refreshing to meet a contractor who understands and uses technology. I used Dwayne to consult on the proper configuration for my sink & disposal. It gave me problems for years. He evaluated it and proposed new piping. It seems much better although I'm only on day one. Price was reasonable. Labor and parts was below $150. Wish I had done with the first problem! Expert advice is hard to get. Dwayne was the first to see that the pipe direction was wrong. Thank you.
Joe did an excellent job for me in repairing an attic ladder. It was a challenging job that several contractors had turned down or were very expensive. Joe did research on the parts and best way to repair - I really appreciated that. Great customer service, professional. I would definitely use It's a Breeze Contracting again and refer my friends. The job I hired out was hanging and finishing ~2100 sqft of drywall. Walls in 4 rooms and 900 sqft of ceilings. I was not present for 90% of the work - I left a key outside for them to get in and out while I was at work. All in all, John seemed like a good guy, he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with his work, and I am glad I gave the job to him. Timeliness: 5/5 John gave me a quote on a Tuesday and hung 98 sheets of drywall that Saturday. He does not do the finishing himself, but the crew that did the finishing also finished in 5 days. We needed it done quickly so we could move in, so this was critical, and we were very happy with the speed. Hanging Quality: 4/5 Overall, the hanging looked good. From my perspective, he quoted 2 days and finished in 1. If he would have slowed down and taken his time, he could have avoided a few minor things like: -Marking access panel to plumbing so it does not hit studs on both sides. -Bending drywall around an uneven stud instead of having me make a shim. Finishing Quality: 2/5 I was disappointed with the finishing crew. They spent a lot of time criticizing the rest of the drywall work in the house done by the previous owners, but theirs was not much better! They knew we wanted to protect our carpet and floors, and we spent hours covering the floors in plastic and taping it down. I came in after the first day to see the plastic pulled away from the wall in multiple places and huge globs of joint compound dropped directly onto the carpet. They also forced us to get 5.5" baseboards, because they were too lazy to fill in screws near the bottom of the sheets. They also did not sand down joints at the bottom - there are large buildups of compound ~3-4" up from the floor that I will have to sand before putting baseboards in. They charged an extra $500 to do flat ceilings vs. textured, and there were many pitted areas and gouges in those ceilings. They said they would come back and patch those, so I marked several. About half of those turned out, but the other half look the same as before. At that point, we just wanted to start living here, so I gave up on them. Price: 4/5 John quoted me for $4500 total for the 2100 sqft job. $2.15/sqft was higher than I had heard I should expect, but I did not have time to shop around. His quote ended up being pretty close, but he did not factor in that I was responsible for disposal of all waste (Additional $180 and 2 hrs of labor on my end). I also didn't know I was responsible for the 3 cubic yards of scrap disposal until the end. He moved it into the yard for me, but it was a surprise that I had to take care of it from there.
Great work on ceiling drywall project. Turned around quickly, finished on time and exceeded expectations. Pleasure to work with!
Sergey did a great job in our bathroom. He is responsive and detail oriented and his price was fair and competitive. He showed up on time and when he said he was going to. That is a quality that is hard to find in some contractors these days.
Crown Molding install in dining and living room. Chad was fantasitc, professional and did the job exactly when and how he descirbed. Hard to find contractors like that these days. I am defintely having him come back for more trim work. Highly recommended
He knew what needed to be done to complete the job the way it should be done. Old trailor roof had elastomeric on which cracked and blistered. Dave power washed surface, removed loose elastomeric, patched places that were removed, applied new sealant. Applying second coat today. Would recommend Dave to anyone
We hired JC West to help us remodel our kitchen. Jason was extremely professional during the entire process. He provided great communications as moved through the project and was always available and always on time. His team of contractors were also a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend JC West and looking forward to working with Jason again.
Prospective Clients: I met Bill through Thumbtack and he was the most willing and reasonably priced contractor I have ever worked with. Bill and his son Zach were: (1) On time, early actually (2) Efficient -- we chatted about a range of subjects while they did their work (3) Did not try to overcharge me for the work that they did -- $50 (Bill's typical fee is $50/hr) to replace a shower door with a rod and curtain. They did it all in roughly an hour including: (a) Analyzing the problem (b) Helping me find the right replacement at the Busy Beaver nearby (c) Removing the old door (d) Putting in the new rod and curtain Not bad for an hour. And all for just $50 (plus parts -- add $50). TL;DR: Hire this man. *****
Ed Woods did a lot of work on my home. He worked very hard on the job and I was especially impressed with his drywall finishing work. I would definitely hire him again.
I am a contractor in the area and have hired Dave for 25+ projects. He does an excellent job hanging and finishing drywall. I never have called him for a repair he could not make look perfect. Always on time too'
Nate is personable and did a great job. He developed a specific plan of attack for the scope of our project(drywall and priming), and he also adjusted along the way. He does good work, too. In fact, we have already recommended him.
We hired Bill to repair (replace with new drywall) sections of our kitchen ceiling after the toilet in the bathroom above leaked. Bill provided an estimated quote and actually came down in price after seeing the damage up front. He was on time, very professional and did an absolutely fantastic job. The sections that were cut out and replaced are barely noticeable and we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Bill and Very Handy Contractors!!
They installed insulation in my ceiling and repaired some drywall and paint damage in my bathrooms. They did a good job at a good price and everything went smoothly
