About
I approach every session as an individual experience because everyone comes to me looking for something different.

Some clients have a very clear vision of what they want, while others are open to exploring and creating something together. My goal is to understand what you're looking for and build an experience around you.
Some sessions are more straightforward, like a professional portrait, while others, such as boudoir, allow for more creativity, experimentation, and thinking on my feet. I enjoy finding that balance between bringing your vision to life and leaving room for unexpected moments and ideas to develop naturally.
And if you're worried about posing, don't be. I spent time working as a model myself, so I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the camera. I know how to guide you through posing in a way that feels natural, and you don't need to arrive knowing what to do. That's part of my job, and it's something I do well.
I want you to walk away with a generous collection of images, a variety of moments and perspectives, and the freedom to choose the photographs that resonate with you most. When it comes to the number of images you receive, I’ll always give you a minimum expected number so you know exactly what to anticipate from your session.

That said, I’ve never want to be someone who holds back great images simply because we've reached an agreed-upon number.
For example, if your session includes 50 images and we end up with 60 photographs that are worth delivering, you're getting all 60. If the images are there, I want you to have them. I believe in giving my clients as much as I can, because I want you to walk away with a collection of photographs you genuinely love, not feel like you're missing out on images that could have been yours. After your session, the next step is deciding which images you'd like to have finished. Some clients prefer to leave that decision in my hands and trust my creative eye to select the strongest images from the session. Others enjoy going through the collection themselves and choosing the photographs that speak to them most. Either approach is completely fine with me. I want you to feel comfortable with the process and have a say in the final result, whether that means trusting my vision or handpicking your own favorites.

Above all, I want the experience to feel personal, collaborative, and true to you.

My journey in photography began right out of high school, when I started working with Lifetouch school photography. It was an incredible introduction to the industry because I had the opportunity to photograph such a wide range of people and events. From yearbook portraits, school dances, and sporting events to senior portraits and large graduation ceremonies and group shots with more than 500 students, every experience taught me something different. That job gave me a tremendous amount of hands on experience and taught me how to work in different environments, adapt quickly, and find my footing behind the camera.

During the summer months, I also began second-shooting for several photographers, which gave me the opportunity to learn from others, observe different approaches, and continue developing my own skills. I've always believed in learning by doing, and that's exactly how I found my way in photography. Rather than following a strictly traditional path, I learned on the job, through experience, experimentation, and working with all kinds of people. Those early years helped shape the photographer I am today, and the experience I gained continues to influence the way I approach every session.
Somewhere along the way, I also found myself on the other side of the camera. I got into modeling, creating self-portraits and working with other photographers on fine art projects. Over time, I built a circle of photographer friends who shared a similar interest in exploring creativity through photography. Those collaborations opened the door to a different side of photography for me.
This was where I began to gravitate toward more artistic work, creating images that went beyond simply documenting a person or a moment. I became interested in photographs that made you feel, that carried a concept, or make you feel like a fly on the wall. It gave me the opportunity to experiment, challenge myself creatively, and discover how much more a photograph could communicate. My background taught me the technical and practical side of photography, while modeling and fine art collaborations helped me develop a deeper appreciation for creative expression.

Today, that creative side of my work carries into the boudoir
(Boudoir being, spicy, sensual, empowering )
photography I do. I work with all kinds of people, each coming to a session for their own reasons. Maybe they've reached a significant life goal and want to celebrate it. Maybe they're looking to do something for themselves, embrace a new chapter, or simply see themselves from a different perspective.
Boudoir isn't exclusively for the feminine, you don’t have to fit a particular mold to explore this experience, too.

Working with Fiona on the Thistle and Spire shoot was such an extraordinary experience and it kickstarted my reemergence as a model. From greeting and talking about logistics of the shoot, asking for my own input and also guiding me for the best shots. I loved every second! Thank you

Dynamic and creative, Fiona uses intentional lighting and practical tools to get the perfect shot. As a rookie model, I can be a little stiff in shoots, but I truly felt like a pro with her. She made me feel comfy and gave me tips as we went along. And the shots came out so good!! I had so much fun shooting with Fiona :)

I hired Fiona for a photoshoot for my website. She made me feel comfortable immediately and had great ideas for the shoot. She got so many great shots in a relatively short amount of time and they looked amazing! She was quick with editing, responsive, communicative and professional. Highly recommend!
