Summary. Zen Windowsinstalled 8 windows on the first floor of our two-story home on Dec. 9, 2022. After researching window installation companies in Central PA, we selected Zen based on their overwhelmingly positive reviews online. The installation project started on Aug. 17 when we called Zen to request a quote for window replacement. After selecting Zen, they completed in-person window measurement on Aug. 29, and we approved the Rendering / Order on Sept. 2. Overall, we are very pleased with the windows, the install process and Zen Windows. We strongly recommend Zen and are planning on using the company to replace our second-floor windows.Value. 5 out of 5. The Soft-Lite windows are high quality and much better than the Anderson builders grade windows replaced. The new windows significantly reduced air loss on the first floor of the house (measured by infrared thermometer). The cost per window was just under $800 dollars, which compares very favorably to the $2100 per window installed by another company in one of our previous homes in the same area. The windows also come with a lifetime warranty.Process. 4 out of 5. The process from end to end (order to install) took just over 3 months and was a little longer than expected but still reasonable. Two of the windows had scratches in the glass and we called to replace one of those after we cleaned the windows and determined it was a noticeable scratch (the other had a barely noticeable scratch so we are still deciding on whether to replace). Zens simplified sales and ordering process relies on the customer to measure windows prior to submitting request for a quote and eliminates in home sales presentations. The pros for us include reduced time and pressure. The con for us was not being able to see or touch a sample of the window; we did request this a couple times, but Zen never delivered.Communication. 5 out of 5. Almost all communications with the Zen Windows team were through email and phone, except for the window measurement and the installation. All employees were professional and responded to us in a timely manner. The installation team was particularly exceptional.

The entire process is easy. No heavy pressure, windows are good quality and value. We have experience with other companies and Zen's installation is the BEST! After 3 or 4 years they still are like new, no leaks. Have loved ours so much I've just had them replace windows in my parent's home. We absolutely wouldn't think of using anyone else!

They were the best company for installing our windows! No headache process to go through, as compared to other window companies. The crew arrived on time and worked competently and effectively. They were professionals. The new windows look amazing, and we can already feel a difference in terms of heat retention in our home. We had 18 windows replaced in the beginning of September. It took the installers 3 days to complete the installation. The installers, Jake and Chad were very nice. They told us every day what they would be working on and answered any questions we had.At the completion of the installation, Chad explained the operation of the windows and how to install and remove the flex screens.All the communication with the Zen Windows office was by email and a couple of phone calls. All questions for the office were answered almost immediately.The windows look very nice and we are happy with the results.Beth & Steve Risser

Easy process using email with Zen windows for replacement windows. Rough measured 12 windows and received the quote by email with the options I chose. I had a couple questions and they quickly responded. E-sign contract and they will schedule an installer to come and take the actual window measurements. Afterwards, you will receive a final rendering of your specific made to order windows. No money down is ever required. My installers James and Colin started early and finished early in one day. Very professional, neat and clean. The windows, inside and outside trim, and caulking all look perfect. Pay the installers at the end of the day and your all done. Lifetime warranty on the windows and the installation is included.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Zen Windows pricing differs for each project as all windows and doors are made custom for each homes specific project. We believe in upfront and fair pricing and not in marketing tactics such as large discounts or free windows to win our clients over.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Zen Windows is an online based replacement window and door company. What this means is that we do not come into your home with a pushy 2-4 hour sales consultation, instead we discuss your project with you over the phone and via email. We then provide you with a quote for the replacement project. If/when you choose to move forward with our company, we then have our installer come out to take exact measurements prior to your new doors and windows being made custom for your project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our installers have been installing windows for over 20 years and are experts in their craft. With our 100% lifetime and transferable warranty you can be sure that we will do the job correctly, the first time.
