Introduction: Hello! My name is Jen and I have started my business as “Smile! Sparkle! Shine!”. I currently reside in Mount Joy, PA. I am servicing Lancaster and Harrisburg counties. Rest assured, your health and safety is my upmost priority along with my own. I am fully-trained on COVID-19 procedures and regulations for the housekeeping industry. I will always wear a mask and have a switching of gloves while I am cleaning, per request. Please do not hesitate to ask with any other questions or concerns! A little about me... I have worked in the hotel industry full-time for 8 years and I have a passion for making things “sparkle and shine”. It is the number one hotel in the area which shows our cleanliness and customer service is top notch. I am cleaning houses part-time. I have my Associate’s in Business Administration and plan to continue to grow my business into a full-time job. Fun fact! Pet-Friendly. I love animals and have experience with them as well and would be more than happy to give them some attention while I clean! If you are ever on vacation or need someone to watch your pets, I would be more than happy to do so. I do not offer oven cleaning, interior window cleaning or fridge cleaning at this time. I am an independent owner so unfortunately I cannot deep clean an entire home. But I am willing to choose one room that needs it the most! We used Jen for the first time in June to care for our Fancy Pigeon. She responded to my message immediately, came out to meet us & our pet right on time & was extremely friendly & professional. Jen kept us updated via text during our entire trip & when we got home we had handwritten notes & our bird well taken care of! We will definitely be hiring Jen again!!!

We had Jenny stay at our house while we were on vacation to watch our puppy and take care of the house. She was an absolutely delight, to put it lightly. Our house was so clean and put together when we got home. She also took such good care of our puppy! We were nervous to leave him for the first time but she gave us complete peace of mind. She sent us daily updates and pictures and we could tell he was so happy and content with her. We’re so relieved to have Jenny as a resource and look forward to having her stay regularly.

Jen did a great job. She answered all my questions right away and was at our home within the week after we first spoke. She was friendly and detailed and the house looked incredible after . Will definitely be using her services again

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Prices are variable based on driving distance, mileage, gas, time it takes for me to get there, supplies, status of the home and labor. I offer a standard hourly rate of $45/hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    My typical process is 1st meeting with the customer before any cleaning is done to go over what they would like done and any special requests they might have. I will take notes and make sure everything is to their liking and exceeding their expectations. I will ask if they are using their own cleaning products or if they want me to use my own that I supply. The cleaning will be scheduled and I will follow up 48 hours in advance to make sure everything is going as planned. I like to do a run through of the condition of the home prior to accepting the job and leaving a quote. I will write a detailed note when I leave the house and follow up with a text message, phone call or e-mail letting the customer know the job is finished and to ask for feedback.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have 8 years of working in housekeeping in the #1 highly-rated choice hotel in the area.
