I utilized Maxwell for an external repair project, to seal brick on my building and stop moisture/water from entering through the walls. Robin and Frank were very responsive and professional. I was satisfied with the job that they did and the quality of their work. They were also reasonably priced. I am planning to work with them again on some future projects.
Working with Garage Entry Systems was one of the best decisions we've made since buying our new home (if not the best). I know that's a strong statement to make, but I'm trying to convey the true sense of how much my wife and I value the work Andrew and his team did for us. As first time homeowners, the journey has been fraught with uneasy decision making about whether to trust the estimate from one contractor or the other, especially when their estimate differences can range in the thousands. Often, contractors will come in with a strong sales pitch about how x, y, or z about them is going to make them THE best bet for us. Andrew came in to talk to us about our project (which was for interior doors), listened to what we wanted to do, and got straight to the point -- without dwelling on any of the other sales pitchy stuff -- and started measuring and contemplating reframing necessary doorways, right then and there, so that he could provide us with an estimate, up front, which wound up being the exact amount we paid. They're on time, fairly priced, and (an added bonus!) extremely friendly and professional. I don't want my review to read like some generated, fake review, I'm just trying to be sincere in saying that this team is great. We WILL be hiring them again for other projects we have in mind for down the road.
I hired Jason to install new cabinets in my kitchen. This being my first remodeling project on my house, I got several quotes for the job. While Jason's quote wasn't the lowest, he saw every angle of the project along with all potential issues which may occur. He got the job done on the timeline he stated and for the price he quoted. He was able to save my counter-tops, which was the most important aspect of the job to me. I already have several more projects I want to accomplish and will hire Jason for all of them. I highly recommend him.
Leo was awesome. Ordered a bed which came un-assembled. And when I say un-assembled, I mean the bed arrived in a box with a bunch of wood and hardware - it was like someone took a puzzle, dumped it in a box and mailed it to me. When I opened it I freaked! There was no way I was going to even try to tackle this. I kept putting it off and putting it off because I didn't want to deal with putting that thing together. Needless to say I am not mechanically inclined, nor do I claim or care to be. I advertised the project online and Leo responded with the fairest price for the job AND was the most professional person to respond. After the project was finished, in record time and completely perfect I might add, we asked him if he would be interested in completing other projects in our home - we have so many things that need fixed, repaired, installed etc. Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen - you name it. My father is in poor health lately and, although very mechanically inclined, is unable to fix, repair and install things like he used to. Therefore, a lot of things are in disrepair and there exists a lot of uncompleted projects. We decided that we could really use a guy like Leo. We asked him about painting a few rooms. He gave us a fair estimate and we know, if he continues to work for us, will produce nothing but the best! He actually just called to make sure that we receive his estimate. I spoke with him and, again, he is very professional, and he made sure he followed-up with a formal estimate for the painting job we had asked about in a timely fashion. I am glad he called, because, although I kept thinking, "I need to leave Leo a review," I kept being interrupted by other things. So, to sum it up, if you need a professional handyman/jack-of-all-trades, able to fix, install, repair, etc. (and don't be afraid to ask him if he is willing or able to do a certain project - he is forthright and capable, with big jobs or small), don't just consider Leo, HIRE him already, for goodness sake! PS: My father is about the pickiest person ever created and EVEN HE WAS SATISFIED with Leo and his work...how about that?
Seems like a nice guys came and got an estimate. Seems to know what he is doing but hasn't done any work for me.
Austin was a total professional. We were able to work together on a price that was fair and he did a great job. He took everything out of the house and cleaned out/up as agreed. I will hire him again! As a personal aside, my car battery died the day of the estimate and he took the time to buy cables and rescue me! A true gentleman!
Brian did an excellent job from beginning to end on the project. They project was to run service for a new hot tub. Brian took time to look at the project and determine the best design for the situation. He was able to quote the project quickly and made time to come out to complete it on the Saturday (two days after quoting). He designed the project to be the cleanest look possible. He ran the conduit inside my garage and created a view on the patio where only 18-24 inches of conduit showed at the based of the tub. I would definitely use Brian for future work to be completed.
work is not done yet, so review is currently based solely on coming out for the estimate
Jason did a great job remodeling our bathroom. It was all original from 1951 except for the toilet and sink. Jason did a complete demo and it is now completely updated and modern. This bathroom was our only bathroom in the home, Jason was considerate enough to keep our toilet functional throughout the whole project. I would recommend Jason to anyone considering a home renovation project.
Mike did a great job! He showed up on time, completed the work to expectation, and charged what he estimated. I will contract with him again.
They gave a fair estimate, arrived on time, worked extremely hard and did a great job. They also were very courteous and cleaned up completely when they were finished. I would recommend them and use their services again if needed.
John did a great job on our kids' rooms remodeling project. He was on budget and on time. Totally conscientious and reliable in his communications with us. He demolished a built-in cabinet/closet system, created a new doorway in our lathe & plaster wall and hung a door and built a new closet. All of his work was very well done. Construction is always messy but John could definitely take some steps to decrease the mess, thus 4 stars instead of 5. That said, we'd definitely hire him again and recommend him to our friends.
Dan responded to our request right away and provided a quote upon the first visit. We had three different contractors assessing the water penetration problem. One quoted three times higher than Dan's quote. The other one provided a wide range of guess for the final cost. Dan's team was professional and courteous. I am very happy with their work and will consider them for other kind of works in future too if I need them.
Delgrosso Construction added a closet to an office for me and was easy to work with at every step of the way!
Spot brick re-pointing and chimney repair. Eric was very nice to work with, personable, not arrogant like another guy we had give us an estimate. His is just a small business, local & we like to give work to companies like this. His crew was hard-working plus Eric works right along with them on many jobs. The work was done well and we will call Eric if we need this type of work done again.
I live in a hill house with an outdoor staircase. The stairs down to the street were destroyed by a motorist and needed to be rebuilt. Mark's estimate for the job was higher than the others, but he really gave the project some thought and tried to design the stairs to solve problems with the old ones, and added much stronger construction elements. It turned out extremely well. Mark and his crew were diligent and professional, and braved some aggressive traffic to complete the job. My partner also praised the job highly. He taught construction for 30+ years and has very high standards. We were both glad we chose the better product. I would hire Range Construction again.
These guys did a great job at a fair price. They were prompt, courteous, and easy to get along with. Being a retired contractor myself, this was a tough job and they were willing to cooperate with my suggestions. They were neat, and cleaned up daily. I have already contracted them for other jobs.
They were very professional in all aspects of the job, very knowledgeable would recommend to friends and family for any of their construction needs.
Rick, and his partner Andy did an excellent job installing my dishwasher. He first reached out to me after my submission with Thumbtack. He wasn't the only one, but I am glad I chose him. He is responsive, courteous, and put my mind at ease with my challenges involved in installation. Rick knows what he's doing and I am glad I now know him and his abilities and would definitely keep him in mind for future projects and or issues I may encounter. I only wish I had known him 2 months earlier and my issues would have been solved then, and I not having to "keep calling other people with no response, and prolonging it not being done." Thanks Rick for your professionalism and work.
Willard Construction did a great job with my little collection of home projects--fixing a light switch and a door, putting up hooks and shelves. Even though I added extra tasks on, they were gracious and happy to do the work. Price was reasonable and the work was well done. I will call them again.
We've been in business over 30 years, offering construction from the ground up!
