Musa was very enthusiastic when we first met to discuss painting my enclosed front porch and the front windows of the main house (which the porch encloses). He talked about integrity and the value of his reputation and it really resonated with me. Then, he came back with his written estimate/quote and it was more than a third higher than what we had discussed in person. That was my first 'red flag'. Always trust your gut. Next, I went to give him his down payment (a 1/3 of total job) and wrote the check out to Top Paint, only for him to tell me his EIN number hadn't come through yet from the state and to make it out to him personally. Now, at the time, I wasn't home so I had to have a neighbor spot me the check. That was my second red flag. I was out of town for the initial work and when it came time for him to ask for his 2nd 33% payment - which one would assume meant he was considerably well underway - I had the opportunity to check in. . . For over $500 he put one full coat on the porch floor, but didn't cut it in around the edges. He put a coat of primer on maybe 50% of the surface area of the side windows, but nothing at all on the front porch windows and door or any of the upper sunrise pattern windows (which was the vast majority of the job). In the beginning, after telling me at the start that he would scrape and sand the original windows on the front of the main house structure and get them "nice and smooth", he instead just painted over the old crackled paint. He also did the worst window glazing job I have ever seen. I reached out to him and said "What do you need to make you whole on the work you've done to date?" That's when he said he wanted the second payment. So in his mind, although he'd done about 20% of the job (and poorly at that) he took 66% of the payment for the job. When I mailed him the check I enclosed a letter saying how disappointed I was in the work he'd done to date and enclosed the pictures I'm posting here. I had hoped he'd be true to his word and send the check back (honoring his commitment to his reputation). So it wasn't until he cashed that check that I wrote this review. What a waste of my money.

The day after i closed on my house Top Paint was at my house and painted every room that was required. Not only did they do it quickly they didnt leave until everything was cleaned up and put back in place. Im actually going to have them come out and paint my house again as i want a change in colors for my kitchen and bathrooms. My experience was an amazing one without any complaints. You cant go wrong with Top Paint.
