Hello, and thanks for checking out my profile. It's a little too long and overly detailed, but it should answer any questions and address any concerns. Notable Highlights -20 years of residential & commercial painting exp. - I manage 14 apartment units in Paoli, PA. Everything from clogged sinks to helping install new central air in 100-year-old building. - previously, I was a project manager focused on quality control for various Fortune 500 companies rebranding campaigns. I've worked in 43 states. Been everywhere. - slightly OCD about cleanliness, which is a great issue to have being a painter. I'm very meticulous and clean. - well mannered, courteous, and friendly. Want to know more? No problem. Short version - I've been doing residential painting for 20 years with every other type of property maintenance, damage, and weather problem and issue mixed in. With that much experience, the basics in painting are effortless, which allows me to focus on the details. The details are the difference between a great paint job in a new $125k kitchen remodel and a $400, one day, apartment paint job. There are a lot of painting companies and people who are painters, but that doesn't mean they know how to paint. There are different levels in skill, and it took me a while to learn that. I was good at painting when I was 22, and I'm far better now. High-quality paint finishes are 50% proper preparation, 30% refined skill & 20% product choice. IMO I'm very efficient and my main priority is cleanliness, I leave rooms and homes cleaner than I found them. If you hire me to paint a room, it'll be spotless and dust free at the end because I'm cleaning the room top to bottom before I leave. What else? I don't smoke, I'm not a drunk and have passed multiple federal and state background checks. Those were for employment at the Upper Main Line YMCA - UMLY (early AM front desk) and The Merion Cricket Club doing Summer Camp tennis, pickleball, and such. Also, with the major corporations I have worked for (Wells Fargo, Verizon, Cisco, FedEx, etc), I've passed numerous insurance, license, background and identity checks to be on many work sites. - communication, I'm good at it. I'll tell you when I'm going to be there and I'll be there at that time. - I present myself well. Cleanliness and hygiene are important to me anyway, but especially working in someone else's home. I am very upfront and open about costs because often, with any home maintenance, unexpected things come up. I am as transparent as possible with expenses. If something changes with the scope of the job, you'll know immediately. You're not going to be surprised with an extra $500 on a bill. Any other concerns or issues, please ask. I try to be amenable to everyone. --------------- CUSTOMER REVIEWS and RECOMMENDATIONS? I realize I don't have any. Yet. I did clip some neighborhood favorite awards, written reviews, and other highlights. most of my long-term customers have come through Word of Mouth they passed a couple decades, working on getting some reviews from them if they are on this site but I wouldn't want to message most customers unexpectedly asking them to sign up here to leave a review. If you'd like to speak to anyone I currently work for or customers I've had for over a decad, let me know. ------------------ Want to know more? Sure, kinda boring, though. Detailed Version: I started painting and doing faux finishing when I was 17 working for a friend's mom. She had a nice little business. By 20, I was running the business. She retired shortly after. Somehow, in a couple of years, I ended up in the Philadelphia suburbs, I had a friend out here, and I was traveling for work 8 months a year. If you've ever been to a FedEx Office on the East Coast, I was there and took Kinko's down to put FedEx Office up. Also, Edward Jones to Wachovia, then the next year? Wachovia to Wells Fargo. AT&T, Verizon, Cisco Systems, and many other rebranding programs. For 5 years, I traveled to major cities for rebrands. I've worked in 45 states. Then, one day, I met a gorgeous girl from West Chester, and after a few years, we had a baby girl, and I didn't want to be traveling at that point. I then began residential painting and general property maintenance. From three unit apartment buildings to very large estates in Chester County. I currently maintain 14 apartment units in Paoli and two 6+ acre properties in Malvern. And now I'm finally looking into these contractor apps because I'd like to mix things up and get a change of scenery. Residential painting can be a very lonely day. Sometimes, days turn into weeks, crazy how that happens.See more

How much does it cost to haul off junk?

The average cost to haul away junk is $150, though this price can be expected to vary between around $75 and $375, depending on several factors.

The first factor is the quantity of junk removed. Most junk removal services charge by the truckload, and most residential projects only require filling up part of a truckload.

Another factor is the type of junk. E-waste like computers and TVs may cost more to dispose of, as will more hazardous materials like mercury, paint and used motor oil. It also may cost more to remove big items like beds and couches.

How do you prepare for junk removal?

To prepare for junk removal, start by listing all the items you should get rid of. Organize your list by which items are appropriate for the junk collection team and which may have some resale value or could be donated.

Move through your house and hit problem spots like closets, attics and basements. Make a pile of items you plan to keep, give away, sell, donate and have the junk removers pick up. Finally, contact at least three junk removal companies for price quotes.

How can I get rid of junk fast?

To get rid of your junk fast, start by organizing and making a list of what you have. Sell what you can, and give away items that you value but you don’t want to friends and family.

If you don’t have the means to transport items or if you have too much junk to get rid of on your own, it’s time to hire a pro. A junk removal service can quickly and efficiently get rid of junk for you, including lifting heavy objects and making sure nothing is damaged.

Do you tip junk removal guys?

You may want to tip your junk removal team if they did an exceptional job. For instance, if they show up on time, are courteous and professional, take extra care not to damage your possessions and home, and leave a clean site afterwards, you may feel like giving them a tip. A reasonable tip might be $20 per crew member.

It’s also nice to tip them on especially hot days, or when the weather is inclement. You can also provide food and drinks for them.

How do you throw away a couch?

You can get rid of a couch by hiring a junk removal pro who can get it safely out of your house and dispose of it. There are other options as well, including renting a trailer and hauling it to a proper disposal facility, or leaving it out for someone to pick up.

However, a junk removal service is the easiest option. This keeps you from having to lift a heavy object or risk scuffing up your walls. Furthermore, a licensed junk removal service can responsibly dispose of a couch, saving you from having to find a site.
