I wasn’t able to repair my oven but it was thoroughly evaluated and the repair person recommended upgrading it instead of repairing it due to the cost. I would hire him again for other appliances.

He should have told me right up front that it was impossible to get the parts for such an old machine. I specifically asked them to cancel the appointment if they didn't think they could fix it. When he got here I hit the controls to show him what was wrong only for it to start right up. Since I had to pay for the trip anyway I asked him to pull it out so we could clean any trapped lint and check for bad wiring. That poor man had to squirm and climb around in an extremely small closet space but finally got it loose only to find it was clean inside and the wiring looks fine. I think he wanted to kill me when I asked him to put it back up. He stayed polite and did so.
