Introduction: I'm an award-winning singer and songwriter, but I LOVE to teach! My passion, more than anything else, is making sure that music is enjoyable and students gain a sense of confidence on their instrument. I do this by building strong, positive relationships with my students and tailoring my teaching to help them achieve their goals. My instruments are piano, voice, and guitar, but I also teach songwriting, music theory, and basic music production.

Alexi is a master at making piano lessons fun for kids while teaching them hard things! He has also made the virtual lesson experience seamless, using multiple devices on his end to allow the student to see a whiteboard with instructions while still interacting with him. We could not ask for a better virtual music teacher!

Thanks so much, Alix!! It is such a pleasure working with your daughters. They are such quick learners and have a great sense of humor, that it is always a joy to see them!

I've been working with Alexi for two years and his dedication towards my pursuit of music has helped me learn so much. My voice has improved significantly over that time with his help and now I am learning piano with him. He's prompt, reliable and willing to go the distance.

Alexi is a very encouraging and calm teacher. He tailors his teaching to each individual students level and needs. He listens to the goals I have and helps me continue to make progress weekly. He is knowledgeable, patient and positive. I recommend him!

Alexi is an amazing and talented teacher. He teach my 2 children how to recognise each notes from a song without any music sheet. He let them choose which music they want to learn and add a touch of music theory at the same time. I recommend!

Thank you so much, Marie!! I love working with both of your children, and it's been amazing to see their progress over this last year.

My kids love Alexi! He works with them remotely and it has worked better than I could have hoped. He is very comfortable with young people, has a great work ethic and sense of humor. I can't recommend him highly enough.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer a free 30min intro lesson to get to know each other and make sure I am a good fit for you!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

In our intro lesson, I'll first ask a few questions to get to know a little more about you and your musical interests and goals. This will help shape our lessons and give me a better sense of what skills you'd like to develop. Then we'll spend a little time making music to give me a sense of where you are musically (including complete beginner!) and what we should start working on in our first official lesson.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a music teacher in public, private and charter schools for the past 12 years and have been teaching private lessons off and on during that time as well. I have worked with a variety of ages (preschool, elementary, middle/high, college, and adult) and skill levels, although my focus is primarily beginner to intermediate. I have also been a professional musician during that time and am currently getting my Master's in Education.
