Introduction

I love working with beginners of all ages and have a warm, encouraging, comfortable, and enthusiastic teaching style. I make a point to continue studying different methods, in the hopes that I can effectively teach people with different learning styles. I have 18 years of formal study, graduated Berklee College of Music in 2016 and have been teaching lessons and workshops full time ever since. I also work as a freelance composer and audio engineer, and am well-versed in recording techniques and music theory.

I’ve played music for more than 30 years, yet voice was the one instrument that never felt natural. Working with Will has changed that. From our first lesson he put me at ease, and my ongoing sessions with him remain a highlight of my week. His deep knowledge and genuine passion for teaching come through every time, and his enthusiasm is contagious.

It’s also neat to watch true craft in action: Will never just runs through a routine—he listens intently, diagnoses what my voice needs in that moment, and tailors what we're doing in response. I've tried multiple forms of music lessons both in school and private, Will is the only teacher that I've stuck with. Clear and concise while willing to explain in other ways, while being lighthearted as a person but willing to focus on so many areas of music. When I say lighthearted that doesn't mean the learning takes a back seat, he can easily keep things on track. (I would know, I'm a yapper) Makes the lessons worth every penny so I can actually focus on my learning. Hoping to stick around for ages.

Will is an amazing teacher. He helped me get through years of feeling like I just couldn't sing, and helped me start my journey to at least feeling confident to do so in front of other people! I'm having to take a break right now because of personal family issues, but I will be joining up with him again as soon as its possible! If you are thinking about working with Will, I would say take the plunge, it is totally worth it!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a discount on bundle purchases (paying for blocks of lessons instead of per lesson) I also offer a discount if you refer a student that takes more than 3 lessons with me! I also offer discount prices for college students.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to ask about their goals, musical preferences, and experience! I make a very concerted effort to customize my method for each student. of course I have certain things that I find important for everyone as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music theory and performance in college prep programs during high school. I was a performing vocalist in bands, musicals, and jazz programs at that time also. I went on to study at Berklee College of Music where I graduated in 2016 I have been teaching full-time ever since, at both educational studios and privately.
