Spanish is my first language! I was born and raised in Peru where I received my bachelors degree in Translation and Interpretation. I have also studied the skill of teaching Spanish to foreigners at The Cervantes Institute. I teach each person individually based on their abilities and how they learn not just from a book. Julia is a joy to work with! She is an enthusiastic, kind, and patient teacher. Lessons fly by because we have actual conversations in Spanish (where I’m not afraid to make mistakes) along with more structured practice to learn new vocabulary and grammar. I highly recommend Julia for anyone who has an interest in learning Spanish!

Julia was awesome. She new exactly what i wanted without me having to explain a lot. She’s professional and knows how to get the information across. She was able to customize the lesson to suit what i wanted out of it. The lesson with her was so much fun. It wasn’t like the lessons you take where it’s only theory and no application. She is patient and punctual. For anyone who would like to learn Spanish wether you want to learn the Grammar bit by bit, if you want to have conversation, if you want your own customized Spanish lesson, then Julia is your one. I highly recommend her.

I had Julia as a Spanish teacher in Lima and she was always really excited about teaching me and always kept the lessons fun but also very professional and productive. She was able to speed up the course when I found material easier and slow down when something was more difficult, which allowed me to learn at an optimal pace. From having virtually 0 knowledge of Spanish in two weeks Julia had me skipping levels because of how quickly I was learning. Wonderful teacher and person and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn or perfect a new language in an engaging and very enjoyable environment.
