During the site visit, I reviewed the framing conditions with you and explained how the column and beam system works, including where loads are transferred and which members appear to support structural loads. As discussed during the consultation, determining with absolute certainty whether a member is load-bearing sometimes requires opening finishes or reviewing original structural drawings. Based on the visible conditions, I provided my professional opinion during the visit. A written engineering report was not part of the requested consultation service, but I am always happy to prepare one when requested.
