FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 retainer fee for planning a trip. Most itineraries do not incur any additional fees (booking travel, accommodation, tours). If the client requires more concierge-like services, such as booking restaurants, shows, museum reservations that are not part of a tour, etc., or it is a more complex booking, then additional fees might be added. However, everything is disclosed upfront so there are no surprises after the client commits to work with me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you decide to work with me I will send you a short questionnaire, to get more detailed information about your particular trip as well as some general questions that help me learn how you like to travel. After that we will schedule a more in-depth call to discuss specific parts of your trip, any suggestions I might have (specially if destination or travel period is not decided on). Then based on all the information I will present you with options for the services you requested. When you make a selection I will book your choices and send you a detailed itinerary for easy access to all the information. During the trip you can count on my support if any issues arise.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years of experience planning trips and traveling around the world. I have lived in Europe and the United States and I am familiar first hand with many destinations. As far as training goes I am Certified Advisor with Fora Travel and take advantage of their vast network of providers and travel professionals. I am also a Viking Certified Expert, which gives me a very in-depth knowledge of the product and itineraries they offer.
