Introduction: Jake Shim, Violinist at Curtis Institute & New England Conservatory
As a violin teacher, I have gained expertise in tutoring students on violin technique, music theory, and sight-reading. Additionally, my experience has helped me evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. I have also developed audition preparation materials for my students, which enables them to perform exceptionally well in their auditions. These experiences have helped me develop the skills necessary to succeed as a violin teacher.
Examples of my students’ achievements include:
- got accepted to Juilliard, Curtis, NEC, Peabody and Seoul National University
- got a job in Symphony in C, Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, New York String Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and Hankyung Philharmonic Orchestra
