FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a flat hourly rate for tutoring and small projects. I can offer a monthly quote for ongoing project. I do offer a non-profit discount. I am also open to bartering services.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began as a blogger in 2005, joining Facebook then Twitter to help grow my brand. Eventually, I was asked to bring those tools to my work experiences. Several local political campaigns sought me out to help teach their candidates how to tweet and to monitor their Facebook campaigns. Soon, a non-profit approached me to help them as well. That's when I decided to officially join the line of work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most often, I create content for blogs, Facebook and Twitter. This may be anything from writing about programs to looking for appropriate information from other sources to share. I also monitor the accounts for comments and feedback, making sure those are directed to the appropriate person. Another key task is training people how to use these tools - much like a tutoring session.
