Christine was outstanding! She was patient and genuinely interested in getting to know my 2 dogs and help with our situation. (new puppy intro to established dog) She came with SO many wonderful toys, treats and puzzles and assessed our situation quickly. She offered me invaluable information from personal info to handouts to new ways to do things. She gave me confidence! Christine has a calm way about her, a calm confidence! Christine is prompt with her initial response as well as returning phone calls and setting up the appointment. She accommodated me within 1 day! Christine has equipped ME with the confidence and knowledge to make our home peaceful in the midst of the chaos of a new puppy. I will definitely be using her for puppy training and anything we need in the future!

I asked Christine to help me with my four month old Mini Jack Russell Terrier. Just in one day, Christine helped me to train my dog which had improved my dog's behavior. Christine did such a wonderful job with both of our dogs! Our circumstances were pretty complicated -- two dogs who each have their own issues, plus issues that come from being a very nervous duo -- and Christine navigated all of those obstacles with great skill and professionalism. We now have a plan in place to deal with their anxiety around other dogs and strangers. She helped link us up with other resources, too, like a vet who did an additional behavioral consult with us. We feel so much better equipped to give the dogs the training and reinforcement they need to become more confident and comfortable in scary situations. We've met with Christine one time so far. She spent a fair bit of time asking questions and observing our dog so that she could provide the right recommendations. Following her advice, we went and bought more appropriate toys for a teething puppy, which has almost eliminated his destructive chewing. We are excited to continue to work on the additional techniques for potty training and responding to various verbal commands.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is dependent on which services are requested. Discounts are available for individuals who are disabled or on a fixed income and veterans.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our first session, we will review your dog's behavioral history and create a plan to modify their behavior going forward. We will discuss where you got your dog, what training methods you've tried and the results, medical history, and most importantly, your goals for your dog. I will show you how to train your dog. If you have questions or concerns between sessions I am available via email and phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Christine completed a certificate course that contained both academic and hands-on practicums at Humane Domain taught by Debbie Winkler, who is the past vice president and past president of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
