FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard price is 30 an hour. For younger players, I suggest taking a half an hour lesson simply because an hour might be too long for student keep attentive and productive. This would be out of the interest of not wasting the customers money and getting a full value out of my time with the student.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will evaluate the students level of playing and their understanding of written music. Then based off their goals I will create a plan to work on the different areas they want to work on and I will suggest other ideas for them to practice. Generally with beginners the first step is technique and basic rhythem identification.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was taught by Alexander peck for a year and a half and then I was taught by Jason Miller for 3 years after that. I was a member of mt.Lebanon percussion and I played in their wind ensemble, drumset ensemble, drumline (2 years), percussion ensemble (2 years), African ensemble (2 years), and Brazilian ensemble (1 year). I have had 3 years of experience with busking at local pirate games, market square and south side. I have been in a few bands and I know the in's and out's creating music with other musicians. I started playing 6 years ago and I am striving to make this a career.
