FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A couple years ago I began buying properties to rent out, and my approach was to invest in fixing them up really nicely so I could get a higher quality tenant. And it worked. But I was constantly frustrated with the high prices that contractors would quote, just to do simple baths, kitchens and so on. So I started doing more things myself, and eventually (after many failed attempts), I managed to find a couple guys to help who really have mad skills. When I needed something done with electric or plumbing, I would pay through the nose for shoddy work, and learn the hard way. But eventually I connected in with quality guys in the trades as well, and so my network is solid. All the lessons learned have brought me to being able to give clients the same exceptional value, instead of inflated prices for average results. I believe there's a need in the market for remodeling solutions that lie somewhere between the $50k kitchen and the particle board one for $3k that falls apart in 2 years - and I intend to deliver.
