- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When you have your first session with me I will only ask you to pay me for that session. That way you can get a sense of my dedication to you and how we work together. If you begin to see me on a weekly basis then I ask for payment one of 2 ways: at the beginning of the month for 4 sessions or you can buy a package deal where you pay for 10 lessons and get 1 free. If clients are going to see me more than 1 x a week I encourage them to buy a package of 20 lessons because they will get 3 free lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I start with a new client I want them to know I share their enthusiasm for learning !! I am committed to giving them professional support as they start or continue to learn Spanish. I want the best for them. Clients are comfortable with me and because of that they become willing to speak more freely in Spanish. I also tailor my lessons to the strengths of my clients. For example if they learn well visually then I encourage them to use flash cards for new words. Usually auditory Spanish tests are the hardest for my clients. I do my best to let them know that I am happy to repeat a phrase or a sentence as many times as necessary. I am always very patient with my clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree and I have completed some work on my masters degree. I was a teacher at a private middle school for over 7 years and I also have taught Spanish at a local private high school. I have been a tutor for more than 14 years; working with children as young as 5 and adults in their 70’s.
