Introduction: A camera is a time machine, where selected moments can be recorded and saved and last long then ourselves. You first step, first tooth, day a school, allow me to capture the nonrepeating brief seconds of your life that define who your are and where your life was at that one and only flashing moment. Have those seconds at your fingertips any time you wish to look back to that same second of your life. Whatever is second of time is special to you, is the only instruction I need to make that moment reappear at your fingertips to fell that moment again right before your eyes. We all value moments of our life's differently, but once there have passed unrecorded, they will end when we can no longer remember. In the mid sixties, when the vo-tech era of public education was just starting. My photographic journey in life was no longer that stinky corner of my parents basement that somehow functioned as a passable darkroom. Black & White was still the king of photography, with color just still out of reach for the individual. High school ended working class kids didn't go to collage the went to work, in the same factories as there grandfathers and fathers did. Or take a real risk and enlisting in one of the armed forces. And just to spice things up whit a low draft number, I picked the army. Six months later president Nixon ended the draft. I never said I was a "Rhoads Scholarship" applicant.
