- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To become a certified dog trainer, I completed two internships focusing on marine mammal training. They were at the Dolphin Research Center and Clearwater Marine Aquarium in FL. This is where I learned the value of positive training techniques. Then I went on to complete coursework with the Animal Behavior College of CA to learn about canine psychology and further my education on positive training. I became a certified dog trainer after this year long program. I continue to further my education with current training techniques and tools through seminars and reading.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of different breeds and ages ranging from 8wks-6yrs old. I work with puppies and adolescent dogs to train basic behaviors and good social skills. I also work with dogs that are high strung, anxious, fearful and mild aggression.
