Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: To truly stand out in film and video production, one must be able to look at a person, place, thing, or space and be able to show it to others in a new light, from a new angle, with a perspective that may have been previously unnoticed. That is how I believe my work comes to life for my clients. To see special moments from a perspective not akin to your own is to experience those moments for the first time, again and again. I have worked in television, both scripted and unscripted, and though I enjoy them both very immensely, neither are able to fulfill my need for creativity and originality. Doing freelance work for clients with various video needs enables me to tap in to my creative workflow while delivering unique content, tailored to my client's specifications.

Kyle was our wedding videographer. He took requests, was there early, had the fastest turn around I've seen from a videographer and even came an extra day to capture more when we did next day pictures. He was very polite and professional and great to work with.

Could not have asked for a better experience...Kyle was professional, friendly, attentive and overall a pleasure to work with. He was able to capture all those special memories and create something that will always be treasured. Highly recommended...was really able to tap in and understand what we were looking for. He definitely gained a repeat client! Thanks!

Kyle did what he said he would calmly and behind the scenes, didn't see him much during the wedding and reception. Stayed for final exit from reception. Captured the sights, spirit, excitement, emotions, and fun of our wedding magnificently in 20 min!!! We're so happy we found him on thumbtack and for less then the other bidders. He is underpaid and please give him a big tip!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing system includes two options: basic and professional. Basic $500: includes a video of the ceremony from a fixed vantage point, with optional music overlay, a digital copy on a USB drive as well as one complimentary DVD. Additional DVDs are $5 per DVD, any wedding that is more than 15 miles outside of central Austin incurs a $0.50/mile charge. Professional $1,200: includes footage of pre-ceremony, ceremony and reception from multiple vantage points, b-roll, and stylistic editing with optional music overlay. Final product includes video proportionate to the amount of footage captured, a digital copy on a USB drive as well as one complimentary DVD.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Weddings and receptions are without a doubt the most in-demand type of job for freelance videography. Next in line would be conferences/keynote speeches, and graduations. However, the most fun jobs for a videographer are those that are less common, and hiring a professional to film an event that may not often be filmed is a great way to make that event both successful and memorable.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Looking at sample work is the greatest way to really understand just how a professional in film and video approaches a job. Every videographer has a style and by looking at former work, you can decide whether that style meets your needs and desires, and whether their artistic direction aligns closely enough with your own vision to be truly satisfied.
