- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted a career that would challenge me. Before being a general contractor, I ran a lawn maintenance business. I enjoyed making customers happy by beautifying their properties, but it took constant maintenance to keep it looking good. I found home construction and remodeling much more rewarding. When you do quality work in construction the fruits of your labor will be there to see for generations to come.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A recent job that I am particularly proud of was a whole house exterior renovation on a lake front house. We installed a 30' front porch w/standing seam steel roof, bumped out dormers above, new roofing, and new insulated siding. We also installed new windows and cultured stone on the front facade and the lower section of the porch columns. The homeowners were very pleased with the outcome. People that saw the home thought that it was brand new. We brought their home out the 70's and into the 21st century.
