I train clients in my private fitness studio in YORK (17404) and outside (weather permitting). I offer a half-priced consultation so we can meet and you can see my set-up. Kara is absolutely awesome! Her goal for what she does is to help you, her client. Her passion, love and dedication for fitness and her clients not only make the workouts enjoyable but the time seems to fly right by. Don't get me wrong, she gives you one heck of a work out, but I actually look forward to going. Not the attitude,"Oh, I guess I have to visit Kara this week." Kara is a caring trainer who not only cares about your training experience but also your entire person. She will give advice on healthier eating and other ways to take better care of yourself. I found her training to be challenging, but also customized to my personal needs. I have been able to do many more activities since I started training with Kara. I would absolutely recommend her to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

This is my first time with a trainer. I am a 40-mumble, out of shaper, with no clue... Kara walked me through everything, did a full body measurement, a body fat percentage (eek!!), then a intro to the warm up. She talked about what we would work on, explained the equipment, talked nutrition...all in the privacy of her in-home training room. I say "in home", but it was very professional. Privacy is a big thing for me, and this was perfect! I left tired but full of motivation. It's gonna hurt...and I'm gonna love it!!! :)

Have been working out with Kara for two weeks now. I am not a self motivator and Kara helps me stay motivated. Also, I have several health issues that have to be paid attention to while working out and Kara is very attentive to that and makes sure the workout stays within the limits of those issues while still managing to push me and my body to be our best and get the most from each and every workout. Kara not only works with you for training but also helps you understand your nutrition and follows up with her suggestions to see if they were helpful. One other thing I was impressed with is after each workout, while I am finishing stretching and getting my things together to leave, Kara cleans all the equipment and wipes the floor mats down too. SO happy that I am not sharing dirt and sweat with other clients. Her workout room is clean. That is a big plus.

    Training sessions are 1 hour at my in-home training studio in York, PA 17404.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I meet with potential new clients at my in-home training studio, where we discuss health and exercise history, nutrition habits, review goals, and take body measurements. I review all equipment in the studio, and go through a short workout.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I read fitness articles about current fitness trends, and the best ways to achieve results. I'm also required to take yearly classes to keep my certification current.
