Epoxy flooring is known for its high durability, and it does a good job of resisting scratches — especially when a topcoat is applied. However, it’s still possible to scratch and gouge epoxy floors with enough force. For this reason, it’s recommended that you take care when placing heavy items on your floors. For example, place padding under the supporting legs of any heavy object you’re moving to distribute some of the force over the flooring.
