"We are so glad we chose Good Vibes Entertainment to DJ our wedding! From the moment we hired them they worked with us on every detail of our special day to be certain we received the best possible experience. Our ceremony was delayed which led to many last minute changes in the event schedule and they were beyond accommodating! They adjusted flawlessly to the set backs and all of our requests. When my husband and I were seeking an experienced DJ for our wedding, I consulted many people, but unfortunately kept striking out because no one made me feel confident that they could handle the job. Planning a 40th birthday party for a big Rhode Island family can be fun, but choosing the music? Well that can be stressful. While we knew what we both liked, we couldn't find the perfect playlist to make our family (of all ages) happy. That's where DJ Magee came in. We didn't doubt she would be professional and awesome. But what we didn't know is that she would so easily adapt to all of our many, and changing, needs. She gave us so many great choices - all of which were spot on. Needless to say, the party was a huge success. We had little ones singing to Disney music and adults rocking out to an eclectic mix of music. She worked with us right up through the end of the night and responded perfectly to requests -- even when our guests wanted to do some karaoke! What could have been a stressful event for Erin, was nothing less than an amazing celebration. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend many events when I am not working them to stay up on the latest music trends. I subscribe to multiple DJ pools to stay current with my musical selections. I have access to edited versions of songs, clean versions, club remixes, and more.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been listening to music since I was a child. My parents got me into oldies such as the Beatles, Frankie Valli, Pasty Cline and more. I've always used music for any activity I've done in my life whether it be sports, cleaning, homework and everything in between. I can appreciate every genre and style of music. I want to bring that same love and appreciation of music to others. I love introducing people to new songs, artists and options for music in all aspects of their life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Asking questions about all aspects of the business is key.
