FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing structure is based on the industry standards for our region. This pricing is followed by virtually all PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America) members and constituents. Generally, we are not going to be the cheapest, but we will be far from the most expensive. Most of our bids are in the direct middle as far as pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we begin with a phone call to assess your needs and what it is you are looking to have done. We then schedule a free estimate based on the customer's schedule. During the estimate, we take a detailed look at the type of work to be done, point out imperfections -- things that maybe customers didn't originally see. At this point, we provide the customer what we believe to be the best course of action for painting the surface. At this point, if our estimator and the customer are in agreement, we will take measurements and present pricing on the spot. We will go over paint line options, when the work is to be done, and arrival time in the morning. Before the work is to be done, we will, at customer's request, provide a free color consultation where we help customers choose color, sheen, and texture based on their preference, 2021 paint trends, and the orientation of the room itself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Everybody who works as a painter in our company has either union or some form of PDCA course experience. As we are painters, most of the trade knowledge is passed from person to person over the generations. With this being said, we make it a point to attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay ahead of the competition. The latest workshop we attended involved advanced lacquer spraying for high end cabinetry. Additionally, two people in our company have attended college courses in construction supervision, ensuring our job sites run smoothly and as comfortably as possible for the customer.
