Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I love teaching yoga to groups and also one on one. Personal yoga is a conversation between teacher and student. Sometimes it is verbal. Sometimes the conversation is through the call and response of silent movement and breath. Personal yoga with me can include a strong vinyasa flow practice with meditation coaching and breath work. I have personal experience with yoga practice while recovering from injury and illness, like herniated discs and multiple sclerosis. If you have a specific issue, please discuss with me beforehand, and I can suggest my course of action or refer you elsewhere as needed.

I hired Victoria to come to my home to give me private yoga lessons and I have to say I have truly enjoyed every moment of working with her. Not only is she knowledgeable and enthusiastic and able to take the time to answer questions and correct my positions as we went, but she really tailored her approach to fit my individual needs. I would strongly recommend her.

Hired on Thumbtack

Hired on Thumbtack

Victoria was AMAZING. My friends and I rented a house in East Hampton for a bachelorette party and wanted a yoga instructor to come to the house each morning to start our day. I had NO IDEA what to expect when I hired Victoria off thumbtack. Just hoped for the best. Now I want Victoria to move to Chicago and be my yoga teacher every day. I do yoga regularly and our two sessions with Victoria were by far the best sessions I've ever had. She was extremely flexible with timing, and yoga site. She was prompt, friendly, and definitely knows her stuff. She even took requests from some of the girls who wanted to work on specific moves. Aside from being a great instructor, she came around and assisted us throughout, took pictures for us at the end of each session, and brought speakers for music if we wanted. I wish I knew more people in the hamptons because I would INSIST that they call Victoria and try her out. Hands down the best part of our weekend was poolside yoga with Victoria. *also we had nine girls with extremely varied yoga experience. She catered to all of us individually and now every single girl is inspired to go home and practice yoga again. Thank you so so much, Victoria!!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

When I first meet a client we discuss his or her motivations for the sessions. It could be understanding the mechanics of flow, strengthening or lengthening the muscles of a part of the body, learning a particular challenging pose, or being coached towards a home yoga practice. Sometimes it will be a single session but usually it is once or twice a week for 1 or more months.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ideally you have a quiet, private space in your home for your yoga practice. Sometimes that isn't possible, which is ok. Bring a journal or notebook and pen dedicated to writing down notes and ideas. It is preferable to meet for 90 minute sessions most of the time. If that isn't possible 60 minute sessions can be held.
