John did a fantastic job removing three large bushes from our backyard before we redid our fence. He was priced incredibly reasonably and was very hardworking. We would hire again for other landscaping projects.

Details: Residential • 1-5 shrubs • Greater than 8 feet tall

Luis and his family were very pleasant and helpful. Getting our house ready for sale has been stressful and they were very professional in completing work that a prior Thumbtack "handyman" didn't complete. Their cost was quite reasonable and I wish I had chosen them first.

Details: Residential • No, I need help buying plants • I don't need a sprinkler or drip system installed • No, this is a one-time project • Trimming and edging • Weeding • Leaf cleanup • Mulching

John Paul was amazing throughout the whole process. After reaching out to several landscapers, he was the most responsive and knowledgeable. While this picture doesn't fully do him justice, the time he took to help us pick out the right plants and lay them out in such a beautiful way was well worth the price. We had blooms within 2 days of planting and continue to enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Details: Smaller changes in current landscape (e.g. plant flowers, trim shrubs) • Lay grass or sod • Plant trees or shrubs • Plant flower beds • Apply mulch • Entire property • No, one-time project • Home

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet new customers at their home and walk around the property so they can point out the areas they would like to see improved and to get a general idea about what the client wants from their landscape.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I grew up around plants and learning to nurture them. From middle-school science experiments to seeking out garden oddities these days, horticulture has always been a part of my life.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What do I want from my landscape? (A place for kids to play, a quiet private place in the evenings, a place for family cook-outs, etc.) What I have I seen around town or on the internet that I really like? (I can develop a good idea of whats possible with a few example on the types of plants/items/features that you enjoy)
